A total of 5900.25 EURO was raised at this year’s IGS Nordend charity run. At the annual school party, the donation was officially presented to Tropica Verde by the pupils in front of the visitors.
It is not the first donation of this kind. IGS Nordend is pursuing the goal of CO2 neutrality and has calculated that they need to plant 4000 trees to achieve this. They have been working with our association for several years now. You have actively supported us in the purchase of Finca Alicia in Monte Alto. The second donation will be used to plant the “IGS hectare” on Finca Alicia. The third donation will now go towards the latest project – the reforestation of the Reserva Kinkajou.
After detailed investigations and calculations, 3 hectares were defined for reforestation on the Reserva Kinkajou. Thanks to this donation, together with a further donation of tree seedlings, the entire 3 hectares can be planted and maintained for a year. The remaining 3 hectares of the Reserva Kinkajou are either still overgrown or can regenerate naturally.
