We have been working with teacher Reinhard Gabriel, his teaching staff and his pupils on an ongoing basis since 2014. On their way to becoming a CO2-neutral school, they are implementing energy-saving and ecological concepts in everyday school life, from plastic and waste avoidance to training courses.
The result: 60 tons of CO2 are saved per year. And CO2 emissions that cannot be saved are offset by planting trees in the Tropica Verde projects. Over the past 5 years, numerous tree species have been planted on former cattle pastures in Monte Alto to restore small, species-rich forest areas.
