Corona crisis: support for families in Costa Rica

Tropica Verde activists Michael Ott and Stefan Rother are supporting families affected by the coronavirus crisis in Costa Rica – you can support them too!

Since March, all tourist activities have also been suspended in Costa Rica. For this reason, many people there have lost their jobs and thus their income. Tropica Verde is active on the Costa Rican Pacific coast with the ECODESI and Monte Alto projects. That is why Tropica Verde activists Michael Ott and Stefan Rother, who are currently on site, see it as a social obligation to support needy families in this region.
For this reason, they took the initiative and launched a spontaneous aid project together with the local pastor Nelson. Pastor Nelson knows the people in Tamarindo and knows which families are particularly in need of help due to the current situation. Together, the three of them distribute care packages containing food and other items to families in need every week.

“It may only be a drop in the ocean, but the delighted and touched faces show us that we were able to make a positive contribution on behalf of Tropica Verde,”
says Stefan Rother.

This project has so far been financed by private funds from the two Tropica Verde managers.
If you would also like to support this aid project, we would be delighted to receive your donation.
