In mid-2017, we acquired Finca Alicia – a former cattle pasture that is now to be reforested and thus expand the habitat of the lesser anteater(Tamandu mexicana), among others. The area will be reforested using various methods. Regional tree species are to be used for this purpose. These are grown in a tree nursery by our project partner Victor. A current project report shows that the tree nursery is already in full swing and many of the seeds collected in the region are already germinating and growing into small plants.
