Tropica Verde e.V. is committed to the protection of tropical rainforests and the promotion of sustainable projects in Costa Rica. At the same time, we are committed to environmental education in Germany – from schools to public events.
We attach great importance to transparency and professional association management. We are therefore proud to bear the DZI donation seal and to be a member of the Transparent Civil Society Initiative. These awards underline our careful use of funds and the trustworthy work of the association.
Your tasks
Management of the association’s finances: Incoming and outgoing payments, account management and resource planning together with other members of the Executive Board.
- Maintaining the donor file and issuing donation receipts for our supporters. A direct point of contact with our supporters.
- Preparation of financial reports and annual financial statements for the Board of Directors and general meetings.
- Cooperation with tax consultants and auditors to ensure the transparency and professionalism of our financial management.
- Participation in the financing and budget planning for our sustainable projects in Costa Rica and environmental education projects in Germany.
Your profile
- Experience in accounting, finance or auditing.
- Careful, structured and responsible way of working.
- Motivation to volunteer for environmental protection and nature conservation.
- Enjoy actively supporting the development and financing of projects.
- Sound experience in using MS Excel, as the accounting, donor and membership administration are based on MS Excel.
- A basic knowledge of Spanish is recommended.
