Palmengarten Frankfurt: Tropica Verde is part of the supporting program of the Plant Exchange

When nature awakens in spring, the Palmengarten invites you to the big plant exchange on March 21 and 22, 2026. From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., visitors can expect a diverse selection of special plants, expert advice from experienced gardeners and an inspiring supporting program for young and old.

Whether rare rarities, robust perennials, organic seeds, cacti or old cultivars – the plant exchange offers an impressive variety for gardens, balconies and interiors. Specialized growers provide personal information about the care, location and special features of the plants on offer.

Information stands, workshops, guided tours and hands-on activities complement the Plant Exchange under the guiding theme “The Garden of the Future: Utopias”. Initiatives and associations will present sustainable ideas for urban gardens and a greener future. You will also find our information stand here. Families can look forward to a varied program with craft activities, a researcher’s pass and a playground rally.

In addition to plant sales, the event will focus in particular on sustainable gardening concepts, peat-free gardening and biodiversity.
