Like Tropica Verde, Plantaciones Edelman reforests biodiverse forests in Costa Rica. CEO Michael Ott and project coordinator and founder Dr. Stefan Rother visited the work of Plantaciones Edelmann in Costa Rica in 2017. Since then, Andreas has been supporting Tropica Verde with seedlings of rare tree species that have been and are being planted on the Reserva Kinkajou. Stefan and Andreas are in regular contact about great soldier macaws, forest almond trees and co. In 2022, the two of them conducted an interview in which Stefan describes the current situation of the great soldier macaw, also known as the Bechstein’s macaw, in Costa Rica. He also reveals tips and tricks for installing nesting aids at dizzying heights. They also explain why humans could soon be eating forest almonds.

All current projects are included in the calculation.
By taking out a sponsorship, the existing primeval forests are protected, former farmland is reforested, new trees are planted and environmental education is also promoted.
This combination of measures to protect the rainforest makes Tropica Verde’s rainforest sponsorship unique.
