Imposition of Monetary Penalties Pursuant to Section 153a of the Code of Criminal Procedure

Courts and public prosecutors’ offices can make a valuable contribution to the public good by imposing monetary penalties pursuant to Section 153a of the Code of Criminal Procedure. As a nonprofit organization, Tropica Verde e. V. is authorized to receive monetary penalties and uses these funds transparently and effectively to protect tropical rainforests, preserve biodiversity, and support projects that promote education for sustainable development.

  • a payment is late, or
  • a payment is not made.
