Finca Curré is not the only one celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. There is also an anniversary to celebrate in Monte Alto, where there is also a successful long-term project partnership with the Fundación Pro Reserva Forestal Monte Alto. Together with the Fundacion, Tropica Verde is active in environmental protection and education.
It is now twenty years since Tropica Verde acquired its first plot of land in Monte Alto and became a member of the Fundacion Monte Alto! In 1997 and 1998, TROPICA VERDE e.V. acquired a total of 40 hectares of cattle pasture in the project area as concrete support. These areas were successfully reforested and supported by environmental education in local schools.
This year, we were able to finalize the purchase of another plot of land and we are looking forward to many more years of good cooperation with our local partner. We will start reforesting this area next year.
