The focus was not only on the technical process, but also on understanding the ecological significance - and direct contact with tropical nature and local stakeholders. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1742\" data-end=\"1981\">The experiences on site show impressively: <strong data-start=\"1788\" data-end=\"1853\">sharing knowledge, getting involved, experiencing it for yourself - this is how change happens.<\/strong> Biochar is not just a technology, but a symbol of a regenerative way of thinking that connects people and nature.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:image --><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"et_pb_row_1 et_pb_row et_block_row\"><div class=\"et_pb_column_1 et_pb_column et_pb_column_1_2 et_block_column et_pb_css_mix_blend_mode_passthrough\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_1 et_pb_text et_pb_bg_layout_light et_pb_module et_block_module preset--module--divi-text--default\"><div class=\"et_pb_text_inner\"><p data-start=\"1422\" data-end=\"1551\">Doch wie genau stellt man Biochar her? Unlike conventional charcoal, biochar is <strong data-start=\"411\" data-end=\"430\">not burned<\/strong>, but is primarily used for <strong data-start=\"454\" data-end=\"475\">soil improvement<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"477\" data-end=\"499\">carbon sequestration<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"507\" data-end=\"523\" data-is-only-node=\"\">environmental protection<\/strong>. <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"537\" data-end=\"921\" style=\"text-align: center\">Thanks to its porous structure, Biochar improves <strong data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"633\">water and nutrient retention in the soil<\/strong>, promotes soil life and can help to <strong data-start=\"679\" data-end=\"731\">permanently reduce CO\u2082 levels in the atmosphere<\/strong>. It is also used in <strong data-start=\"766\" data-end=\"781\">animal husbandry<\/strong>, <strong data-start=\"783\" data-end=\"807\">wastewater treatment<\/strong> and the <strong data-start=\"816\" data-end=\"839\">circular economy<\/strong>. If you want to travel to Costa Rica, for example, a flight is essential. This is where a donation to Tropica Verde comes into play, because with your donation or membership you are making a targeted contribution to binding CO\u2082, protecting the climate and promoting education.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>To protect our climate, we ask you to do <em>both<\/em>:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><strong>Donate<\/strong> to <strong>rainforest conservation and<\/strong> <strong>save<\/strong> <strong>greenhouse gas emissions<\/strong> wherever possible <strong>!<\/strong> Further tips on climate and rainforest-friendly behavior can be obtained from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nabu.de\/natur-und-landschaft\/waelder\/18882.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">NABU<\/a>, for example.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to point out at this point that Tropica Verde <u>does not<\/u> advertise and sell classic<sub>CO2<\/sub> compensation. CO\u2082 offsetting is often cited by companies as a green measure to improve their image. Many factors need to be considered when it comes to CO\u2082 compensation. CO\u2082 compensation is still a hotly debated topic.
