There is a lot of great news from the Lapas Verdes (Great Soldier Macaws):<\/strong><\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

1. in Tortuguero we could observe that macaws regularly flew to the beach to visit the beach almond trees. This is now a significant source of food.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

2. at the height of Limon, deep in the Talamanca jungle, a large biol. Corridor also for the Great Soldier Macaws. Tropica Verde will also be part of this new network!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

3. 10,000 almendros are also being planted in the immediate vicinity. In around 20 years’ time, these will become the feeding and nesting trees for the greater soldier macaws.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

4. the Ara project near Finca Curr\u00e9 is a great success! The population there has now cracked the 100-bird mark!!!!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

We are very happy about the positive developments for the Great Soldier Macaw in Costa Rica!<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
