Unfortunately, they are not good ones. Thierry Mangel, our forest ranger, who regularly walks around our property and keeps an eye on things, has discovered a freshly cut path on the Finca Curr\u00e9. He suspects that it was tree thieves who were probably illegally cutting down trees on a neighboring property and &#8211; because it is the easiest and most direct way &#8211; removing them via our property. He tried to get support from the local police, but they were not available due to a strike. He is now planning to go there again with the support of Manuel Morales from our project partner <a href=\"http:\/\/www.corredortalamanca.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">ACBTC<\/a>. However, he said that there was not much that could be done as long as the perpetrators were not caught in flagrante delicto.
