The tropical rainforest is one of the most species-rich and at the same time most threatened habitats on our planet. Protecting it in the long term requires not only political will, but also awareness and knowledge - from an early age. <\/p>\n

Tropica Verde provides free educational materials to help learn more about tropical ecosystems, their importance and the challenges of nature conservation. Whether in the classroom or at home, these materials invite you to discover and understand the rainforest and its fascinating diversity - and to work together for its future. We promote education for sustainable development - open to all, without barriers. Because only through free access to knowledge can a responsible approach to the rainforest, the environment and the future succeed. <\/p>\n

Turning plant waste into valuable coal - and actively doing something for the climate at the same time? This is exactly what Biochar, also known as biochar, makes possible. The experiences in our project show: Sharing knowledge, taking action, experiencing it for yourself - this is how change happens. Biochar is not just a technology, but a symbol of a regenerative way of thinking that connects people and nature.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Besonders greifbar wurde dieses Potenzial f\u00fcr unsere Volont\u00e4r:innen auf unserer Finca Curr\u00e9 bei Thierry<\/a>, in der Region um Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica. Vor Ort erlernten\u00a0 die praktische Herstellung von Biochar: vom Sammeln geeigneter Biomasse \u00fcber die Pyrolyse bis hin zur Aktivierung mit nat\u00fcrlichen Stoffen. Dabei stand nicht nur der technische Prozess im Fokus, sondern auch das Verst\u00e4ndnis f\u00fcr die \u00f6kologische Bedeutung \u2013 und der direkte Kontakt zur tropischen Natur und den lokalen Akteuren.<\/span><\/p>\n

Doch wie genau stellt man Biochar her? Welche Rohstoffe eignen sich? Und warum sollte man die Kohle vor dem Einsatz \u201eaktivieren\u201c?<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
